When my sister and I were traveling through Vietnam we were always on the look for vegetarian restaurant as my sister does not eat meat since childhood. In Ho Chi Minh City, we were super happy, when we discovered the Veggie Saigon Restaurant. A simple restaurant serving super delicious Vietnamese dishes without meat.
Atmosphere.
The restaurant is quite small with about 6 tables each 4 seats. The walls are decorated with huge pictures of Vietnam. Interesting to mention is that you need to leave your shoes outside. The place did not invite to stay long, it was not cozy or comfortable. You can order the food also online with the grab app.
Food.
For starters we had the banana flower salad with shrimp chips at the side and grilled tofu wrapped in woven rice vermicelli. Both were delicious, super fresh in ingredients and freshly made. As main dishes we had the vermicelli and spring rolls which turned out to be more of a salad and a vegetarian version of the Vietnamese noodle soup, pho nam.
Price.
Prices of the dishes are around 39.000 – 59.000 VND.
Location.
It is located super central in the District 1 on 42 DE THAM STREET. If you don’t feel like walking there you can also order online. Here is a Google Maps link to the Veggie Saigon.

We last visited the restaurant in June 2019.
