The war remnants museum in Ho Chi Minh City is an absolute must to visit when you are in HCMC / Saigon. It gives a better understanding of the war in Vietnam and real insights of the horrible things that happened. To let all the impressions sink in, we went to the Trung Nguyen Coffee.
Atmosphere.
The entrance is behind a white fence. There are couple of outside seats available. Very nice are stones in a low water around the entrance. You need to walk on the stones to enter the building. After entering your will see the bar where you are ordering the drinks. The seating area are a couple of rooms connected to one big one. The contorted room and velvet cushions create a cozy atmosphere and invite to stay.
Food.
The coffee choices are huge. The café serves different type of coffee bones and roast types in typical Vietnamese style and not to forget the tea, cold or hot. It also offers a small variety of healthy food from noodles, and baguette to salad and omelet.
Price.
Drinks and food are between 30.000 -80.000 VND.
Location.
The coffee is located on Voi Van Tan road. It is merely a 3 min walk from the war remnants museum. Here is a Google Maps link to the Trung Nguyen Coffee.
We lastly visited the restaurant in June, 2019.
