One of the perks living in the Japanese expat neighborhood in Bangkok, you will never be finished exploring new sushi places. And good ones to be said. For my friend’s birthday we tried Sushi Masa in Thong Lor.
Atmosphere.
The restaurant has an easy vibe. Typically, it has a long open bar where the sushi is prepared. Guests can sit alongside the bar or on the small tables. The medium sized room fits quite a few tables. However, when we visited, only half of the tables were occupied. Very nice is the open window front.
Food.
You’ll find any kind of sushi your foodie heart desires – from Sashimi, Donburi, Maki to side dishes like Edamame. The restaurant uses high quality ingredients making the sushi taste very fresh. I especially like the seafood Toma Maki, great combination of different seafood with avocado and sesame topping.
Price.
Prices are average for Sushi in Bangkok, dishes range from 150 – 400 Baht. Per person you’ll probably need to get 2-3 dishes.
Location.
The restaurant in Thong Lor is located in a side street to the main Thonglor Road. It is probably best to either get there with grab taxi or motorbike taxi from the BTS station Thong Lor. Find a link to the restaurant on Google Maps here.

Last visit of the restaurant was in June, 2019.
