Delicious Western food in a relaxed and light atmosphere. I first discovered the Roast with some friends for dinner. But actually it is very popular for Brunch. Since then I’ve been back a couple of times for lunch and breakfast.
Atmosphere.
With the open window front on the left showing the Waterfall of the Emquartier and the half open kitchen on the right, this restaurant welcomes the its Western customers well. Especially during lunch time you’ll find a lot of people waiting outside or at the bar at the entrance. I can recommend to come before 12pm.
Prices.
Prices for dishes are between 200- 500 Baht.
Food.
You’ll find a mixture of different Western food, from truffle tortellini (picture above) to Mexican breakfast pan and Gnocci with pumpkin or egg. The restaurant is famous for its french fries, which are it does itself from whole potatoes. Some dishes have rather small serving sizes whereas the Burger for example, is more than enough.
Location.
The restaurant is located on the first floor of the Helix building in the Emquartier, next to the ADIDAS shop. You’ll get to the Emquartier with BTS, just get out at Phrom Pong. The Restaurant has a second branch at the Commons in Thong Lo. Here is a Google Maps link to the restaurant, Roast.
