After visiting the monkey sanctuary close to Ubud, we decided to pay a visit to Ubud and to get some lunch. We found the cutest café, called Mudra Cafe, which serves ayuverdic island food. This café will give you the true relaxed Bali vibe you need in your vacation.
Atmosphere.
It only has seating for about 15 people. Before entering the café, you need to leave your shoes outside. The restaurant is open to the street, however, a bar like fence and hanging plants create a wall and more intimate atmosphere. There are about 3 tables to sit and the bar at the entrance serving as seating spots. From the seating area you can look into the kitchen as it is only separated by a window.
Food.
Most of the food is plant-based though they offer some sustainable sourced fish and poultry. All the ingredients come from farms nearby or the ocean. The dishes are cooked from scratch every day. For Breakfast you’ll find typical Bali smoothie bowls and waffles, for lunch they offer great poke bowls and for dinner delicious Roti bread with salad and rice. The coffee they serve is the delicious Awakened coffee, if you are not a coffee fan you can find Enlightened tea on the menu.
Price.
Food prices are between 55k – 120k IDR.
Location.
The Mudra café is located on the Jl. Goutama Sel. No.22 in Ubud. It is directly on the small pedestrian walk. Please find a link to the café on Google Maps here.
