I discovered this little place during a lunch break. I work and live right around Phrom Phong where this restaurant is located. It has two branches on both sides of Sukhumvit and both locations are always full of people. This speaks for its good food.
Atmosphere.
The atmosphere is very easy – for napkins you’ll find a role of toilet paper on each table. The restaurant is full of people that work around the area from white collar workers to blue collar workers. Both branches have no air conditioning, but open doors and windows. The menu displays pictures of the food which helps to order the food to non-English speaking waitresses.
Price.
Extremely low – street food prices. Per dish 80-150 Baht.
Food.
BEST green curry in town!
The restaurant generally serves typical Thai food at very affordable prices. I can recommend to try besides the green curry, the papaya salad, chicken with cashew and the spring rolls. Also the squid salad is super delicious and spicy.
Location.
This restaurant has two branches, one is located at the corner of a little side alley between the Emporium and Sukhumvit Soi 39. This one has benches outside and is a little bigger as the other one. The other one is located at the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 24/1. To get here you can just take the BTS to Phrom Phon and walk 3 min. Here is a link to Google Maps: Im Chan.
